Position Description/Purpose:

 

The Sales Coordinator is a support role responsible for helping National Account Managers provide clients quotes. The pricing INDATEL provides on client quotes originate from the INDATEL member/owners & partners.  Because of the nature of INDATEL’s business, it requires communication, coordination, and follow-up with the members/owners and partners of INDATEL.  The opportunities INDATEL will quote are primarily national or regional in scope.  Much of the job is done by computer and phone.  The main three software packages to be familiar with include MS Outlook, MS Excel, and Proposal Management Tool (a Salesforce.com software add-on in which training is provided). The qualified candidate will possess a proven record of success in supporting and coordinating with sales teams in similar industries or comparable experience that makes the candidate uniquely qualified. This is an important and respected role within the company and is critical for the successful execution of the company’s sales plans.  Specifically, the below are the key responsibilities/outputs of the position:

 

1.       Respond to quote requests in a timely manner

2.       Develop proposals

3.       Data entry

4.       Assist in transitioning service orders from sales team to service delivery

 

The Sales Coordinator role may eventually require light travel. It is a team-first culture that will require good communication and interpersonal skills. When account managers are travelling or out, the sale coordinator will back-up and respond to requests from clients.

 

Qualifications:

Education and experience requirements typical for this position include:

  • 3+ years experience in a telecommunications or technology environment a plus
  • 3+ years recent telecommunications experience & knowledge with a combination of experience in the following is highly preferred:
    • relationship & RFP management
    • data/network/software solutions
    • lead generation and sales development
    • communication and coordination skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing or Technology field.  Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be given adequate consideration.
  • Valid driver’s license
