Position Description/Purpose:

The Sales Support Manager is responsible for the supervision of the Sales Support Coordinators who support all sales channels within the INDATEL sales organization. INDATEL’s current sales channels consist of NAM’s (National Account Managers), and our Wholesale/Enterprise channel. This team provides client price quotes consisting of the procurement of network solutions as well as providing unique pricing components to secure client service orders. The pricing INDATEL provides for client quotes originates from the INDATEL member/owners and INDATEL’s partners.  Because of the nature of INDATEL’s business, it requires communication, coordination, and follow-up with the members/owners and partners of INDATEL.  The opportunities INDATEL will quote are primarily national or regional in nature.  Much of this job is done by computer and phone although there are in-person meetings with their team, INDATEL’s leaders, and customers.  The main software packages to be familiar with include MS Office Suite and Proposal Management Tool ( CRM). The qualified candidate will possess a proven record of success in leading a team of sales support coordinators and supporting and coordinating with sales teams in similar industries. This is an important and respected role within the company and is critical for the successful execution of the company’s sales plans.  Specifically, the below are the key responsibilities/outputs of the position:

·       Serve as resource to and lead the sales support team.

·       Coaching and training a sales support team

·       Provide a source to the Vice President of Sales to maintain a smooth-running support team.

·       Generate measurable statistics on their team’s productivity to management.

·       Document and fine-tune the end-to-end quoting process and implementing changes where necessary.

·       Develop and implement the end-to-end re-term process.

·       Knowledge and experience in negotiations of re-terms of expired circuits with customers

 The Sales Support Manager will be required to travel to the INDATEL headquarters as needed and at times to tradeshows or client visits. This role is considered a hybrid position; therefore, it will require a minimum of two days per week in the INDATEL offices. It is a team-first culture that will require good communication and interpersonal skills. When account managers are travelling or out, the Sales Support Manager is responsible to provide coverage for them as their back-up and respond to requests from clients.


Education and experience requirements typical for this position include:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a telecommunications or technology environment a plus
  • 3+ years recent telecommunications experience & knowledge with a combination of experience in the following is highly preferred:
    • High level of organization and considered to be a multitasking expert.
    • Data/network/software solutions knowledge
    • Understanding Salesforce CRM at a high level with the ability to generate reports to the leadership team
    • Communication and coordination skills
    • Experience in coaching and training sales support teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing or Technology field.  Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be given adequate consideration.
  • Valid driver’s license
